Decades of Plant Education – How a vision became a reality!

25 years ago, members of the Western Plant Health Association decided to take action on the increasingly growing fact that kids do not understand where their food comes from.  These same children would become adults who would eventually vote on issues that impact Agriculture.  Their vision was to create a grants program where schools could obtain funding for school gardens.

After all, they believed there is no better way to learn about agriculture than by experiencing it firsthand!  It is this vision that created the California Fertilizer Foundation.

Our Mission

Agricultural Education and Gardening

The CFF School Garden Grant Program seeks to increase children’s understanding and awareness of agriculture and nutrients through school gardens.

CFF also participates in and supports agricultural education and gardening conferences, the California Chapter of the American Society of Agronomy Scholarship Program and industry-college student dinners.

It is through your participation and contributions that generates the funding needed to support the mission of CFF.  We appreciate your support to make what we do possible.
